On January 31st, 2021, SongFest will launch ‘Songs of Unity & Hope’ a global SongFest featuring music, poetry, discussion, interviews, musicians from all five continents, and above all, Song. Launched on Schubert’s birthday and in celebration of 25 years of SongFest, this is SongFest’s gift to all of the students, alumni, faculty members, audience members, and song-lovers who have been part of its family for so long. This celebration will be an all day event, a curated musical journey shared on SongFest’s website and social media, beginning at 10 a.m. EST and lasting into the evening. Its message is one of unity and hope, born of a desire to illuminate what keeps us inspired through troubled times.

SongStudio is a program for young vocalists under the leadership of world-renowned soprano Renée Fleming. Designed to renew and refresh the presentation and experience of the vocal recital, SongStudio brings leading musicians and other performing artists together to mentor emerging vocalists and collaborative pianists, exploring innovative approaches to both classic and current song repertoire, and inviting new audiences to engage with the art form.
